This post was supposed to go up yesterday, but thanks to
Orange internet, ndio hii hapa leo.
I am about to incur the wrath of an egomaniac and his
thousands of mindless twitter followers with this post, but as the saying goes,
in for a penny, well, in for a whole bloody pound, mate. This is going to be
one hell of a way to end writers block, and the backlash could potentially be
epic, but what the hell…this is MY opinion, and yours is irrelevant. If you are
one of those people lining up to suck Robert Alai’s cock (not to be confused
with the fowl), leave now or forever hold your shit.
Now, what I know about Alai as a person, is probably
equivalent to the character allocation on twitter, but as they say, perception
is everything. For all I know, he could be a decent fellow, and he does seem
like a decent tech blogger, but on twitter, old-timer is a disaster!! He is
like an unhinged, mentally strange idiot, lose with a sniper rifle.
So, this is what started this…This morning, some of my 26
followers on twitter (yes, you read that right, 26) were vilifying an Alai
tweet, and I thought “Oh well, Dude probably said something that people didn’t
like, but what the hell, his twitter, his opinion”. That however, was before I
saw the inflammatory tweet. Alai was apparently on his knees praying that it
rains rapists in Kileleshwa, in a bid to highlight on an insecurity issue…that
was when my brain went WHAT THE FUCK?! How in the hell, do you sit there and
pray for rape on innocent people just because they come from a higher tax
bracket than you do? Do the people in Kile formulate and execute security
policy in this country? Arent the people living there citizens like the rest of
us?! Ama you have beef with Kile that you aren’t sharing? Does that
ex-boyfriend who dumped you for a chick live there for example?
I couldn’t tell you what rape feels like, having never
experienced it myself, but someone close to me was sexually assaulted recently.
I will tell you however, that it is not pretty. She told me of the feeling of
helplessness, the fear, the shame and the trauma during the ordeal. To this
day, she cannot go outside past 6pm and her life has been irreversibly
affected. She lives in constant fear, and has bouts of severe anxiety,
paralyzing panic attacks and she still cannot sleep. That’s not taking into
account the risks of HIV infection, and all those other bad STDs. So Mr. Alai,
unless you have had a large hard object forcefully and without consent driven
up an orifice in your body, experienced the pain associated with it, and the
feeling of helplessness that comes with knowing that someone is about to do
something nasty to you and there is nothing you can do to stop it, DO NOT throw
that word rape around just for the heck of it. It is ill advised and not in the
least way funny!
You cannot in any way whatsoever, justify wishing such a
horrific fate to another human being. The men and Women of Kileleshwa are
innocent ordinary citizens of this country. They just happened to have a silver
spoon in their mouths. Some of those people weren’t born with that spoon; some
had to put blood, sweat and tears to get to where they are. Granted, some are
drugdealers and murderers, but a majority of the people living there are just
that…people! And what about the children? Did he give thought to what such a thing
does to a child?!(ok, I need to calm the fuck down.)
Having said that, I think Alai needs to grow the fuck up! He
needs to learn responsibility, and stop acting like he owns twitter. Everyone
who seems to disagree with that fat fuck is met with furious reactions from
him, his various other accounts and some of his followers. This is tantamount
to cyber bullying. I get that he has something important to say…insecurity in
this country is going to the dogs, and the assholes responsible are either too
busy shafting prostitutes, or stabbing each other in the back over politics, or
getting head from university students(yes, both male and female), but this is
not the way. Ignoramus needs to find another way to get points across. Thumping
on your chest like a mountain gorilla is definitely not the way to go. Granted
the resemblance is astounding, but this is a somewhat civilized setting…you
need to be gracious about certain things. The way to go is not to wish a fate
worse than death to a grouping of people just because they belong to a higher
tax bracket.
The cabbage headed oaf needs to look up the meaning of
responsibility. What you say has the power to affect a lot of people. Wars have
been fought over shit like this, the ethnic cleansing in Rwanda started because
idiots with a lose tongue and nothing but wax between the ears said something that
was at the time, highly inflammatory.
Considering that 12 people retweeted, and 2 others favorited that
particular tweet, it is safe to assume that a majority of Alailites are not
particularly smart… these were the same people who were up in arms in attack
when good people could not sit back and take such misinformed fucked up
bigotry! That shows the class of people that congregate around you Mr. Alai. Someone
once said, show me your friends, and I will tell you who you are.
Bad things happen because good people decide to ignore what is
happening. I am paraphrasing of course, but the meaning is clear. We cannot sit
and watch such fuckery exist, and continue to STFU. Just because we are afraid
to step on a little toes. This complacency breeds dangerous situations such as
hate speech. We cannot continue to cut people slack just because we are afraid
that they will get their large following to launch a barrage of insults our
way. Fuckery needs to be called out where it exists. We know for sure, that
impotent fuck Kibunja won’t do shit, so it’s up t us to try and stop
it…intimidation and insults be damned!
This post might not be read by a lot of people, and it might
give publicity to Alai and his bullshit, but a smart person reading this will
get the importance. If you are one of those people who will only see this as a
thinly veiled attack on Robert Alai, your stupid ass does not deserve to live,
but since murder is a capital offense, may your crotch be infested with a
thousand lice from the camels of the Libyan desert, and may your hands be too
short to scratch!!
